Easy trekking in the mountains -with hinduistic water-blessing ceremony by a Balian (hindu-priest / healer)

 

 

We do not want to report too much about the trekking. Of course there are rice fields and a lot of other nature. 

 

 

By Vespa we will have a tour of about an hour. Afterwards you can enjoy this wonderful view while having a coffee rest at the house of locals: 

 

 

The two main goals of our tour are best impressed by pictures.

 

First goal: Pura Watu Mecepak

 


 

Second goal: Pengelukatan

 


At Pengelukatan a Balian (healer / Hindu-priest) will wait for you. He will perform a "Melukat" for you. This water-blessing ceremony, according to Hindu beliefs, leads to a spiritual cleansing and a new atmosphere for the soul. Both the necessary ceremonial garments and the necessary offerings are kept ready for you. The ceremony will take about 45 minutes.

 

And finally we have to solve the riddle from the title: The place where the holy spring is located is called Kayu Putih, the Indonesian word for eucalyptus.
